On August 15, 2024, during the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Forum “Agro-2024” held in Kropyvnytskyi, our company addressed an appeal to Oleksandr Hayda, People’s Deputy of Ukraine and Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Agrarian and Land Policy, as well as to Taras Vysotsky, Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
We requested assistance in amending current legislation to better stimulate the export of deboned beef, ready for sale in stores. The existing law “On Financial Mechanisms for Stimulating Export Activity” does not include UCT ZED codes 02.013 and 02.023, which prevents us from accessing state support through PJSC “Export Credit Agency” (ECA) for exporters.
MEAT PROCESSING ENTERPRISE AGROTORGOVY DIM LLC, based in Tarashcha, Kyiv region, supplies chilled and frozen meat in vacuum packaging for export to Middle Eastern countries. Due to recent escalations in the Red Sea, we have been forced to reroute deliveries to Iraq, significantly increasing container transit times to 70 days. To ensure uninterrupted supply, we need to seek financing to replenish our working capital from banks, which require ECA guarantees. We hope that our appeal will lead to legislative changes that will enhance export opportunities in the meat processing industry.
